Around 145 Indians were deported from the US today morning. They were mostly illegal immigrants and those who had violated visa norms. All 145 Indians landed at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi via special flight via Bangladesh this morning. There were also Bangladesh citizens and South Asian nationals on the flight.

The people deported were mostly aged between 20 and 35.
Over the past years, most of the people from India have gone to the US with the help of agents through illegal means. Some had also overstayed in the country. Agents charge anywhere around 10 to 15 lakhs rupees for one person entry into US.
117 Indians were deported from US on October 23 and 311 on October 18. Most of them belonged to Haryana and Punjab who were caughty trying to cross over to US.
US President Donald Trump had threatened to put tariffs on all Mexican imports, if they failed to tighten people entering through the Mexico's borders.
